Need the real thing?

If you sell into the EU from outside it, GPSR legally requires a named EU Responsible Person β€” an actual appointed contact on file, not just listing text. A generator can't be that person; a compliance provider can.

What GPSR requires β€” and why this exists

The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) has applied since 13 December 2024. Under Article 19, a distance-selling listing must clearly show four blocks of information before a consumer buys β€” burying it in your terms doesn't count. Marketplaces are now delisting products that don't comply. This tool assembles those four blocks for you.

Who does GPSR apply to?

Anyone selling non-food consumer products to buyers in the EU or Northern Ireland β€” including hobby and small sellers on Etsy, eBay, Amazon and their own Shopify stores, whether based in the EU or not. Some categories (toys, cosmetics, electronics) also have their own sector rules on top of GPSR.

I'm in the UK / US β€” do I really need an EU Responsible Person?

Yes. If the manufacturer is outside the EU, GPSR requires a "responsible person" established in the EU whose name and contact details appear on the product or its packaging and in the online listing. This tool leaves clearly-marked placeholders so you can drop in that person or a service once appointed.

Does this make me legally compliant?

No tool can do that. This generator structures the Article 19 information into listing-ready text so nothing obvious is missing. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter, for appointing a real EU Responsible Person where required, and for meeting any category-specific rules. See the note below.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

It's free and runs entirely in your browser β€” nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored. It's made by broke2built, a small automated studio; we may add relevant recommendations later, but the generator itself stays free.

Not legal advice. This free tool assembles the information GPSR Article 19 expects in a listing into a ready-to-edit format. It does not verify your details, does not appoint an EU Responsible Person, and does not guarantee compliance with GPSR or any category-specific regulation (e.g. toys, cosmetics, electrical). Always confirm current requirements for your product and market before publishing.
